Marianne Downing is the founder of a nonprofit consultancy firm, Mission Aligned and has more than 29 years international experience in New Zealand, Europe and now in the United States working with nonprofit organizations, funders, and government agencies. She handled a number of evaluations of nationally based programs in New Zealand and was responsible for coordinating between evaluators, nonprofit organizations, and government funders to set up a new program placing social workers into schools nationwide. She is trained in Outcome Mapping©, a specific technique for monitoring and evaluating nonprofit programs. Now based in Utah, Marianne has worked with a range of organizations in the development of their strategic plans with special emphasis on identifying outcomes and establishing monitoring and evaluation processes. She was contracted by the University of Utah to prepare a significant evaluation proposal. Recently, she has been helping nonprofit organizations in their preparations for federal and state funding. She is passionate that any organization can build evaluation processes into their programs.
