GPA has a growing international and affiliate chapter membership of close to 2,000 active members, all of whom have an interest in the grants profession. GPA members come from all sectors of the international grants community. They represent education, government, the nonprofit sector and private enterprise. They include grant developers, managers, funders, administrators, planners and evaluators. All promote and support the mission and philosophy of the association.

Membership is open to any individual with an interest in, and commitment to, the grants profession. 

Why should I become a member? Membership to GPA signifies to yourself and others that you consider yourself a grant professional. GPA offers a full range of membership benefits, including a subscription to GPA’s e-newsletter, “GPA Today”, the GPA Journal, weekly e-mails with up-to-date grant industry news and articles, participation in the GPA Communities forum, along with reduced conference fees and other benefits. Members receive free access to GrantStation and over 70 webinars/online classes. This is a savings of $4,200 for a cost of only $225 for membership dues!

Membership to the GPA is more than just benefits and conferences. What is the cost? 

Annual Membership Dues Levels:

  • Professional Membership: $225 (Professional Membership (formerly called National) is available for persons that do not fall in any of the categories below - Student, Entry Level or Legacy. National members are able to run for a position on the GPA Board of Directors, vote, volunteer and receive full member benefits.)

  • Student Membership: $95 (Student Membership is available for persons who are enrolled as full-time undergraduate students at a college or university - 12 credit hours - or who are enrolled in a graduate program. Documentation of the enrollment must be submitted with the membership application. Student members are able to run for a position on the GPA Board of Directors, vote, volunteer and receive full member benefits.)

  • Entry Level Membership: $165 for the first year (Entry Level Membership is a category for persons who have been in the grants profession for two years or less as proven by the submission of a resume and/or a letter from your employer certifying this. Membership in this category is limited to one year. After one year, the member would pay the Professional membership fee in order to stay in good standing with GPA. Entry Level members are able to run for a position on the GPA Board of Directors, vote, volunteer and receive full member benefits.)

Chapter Dues: The Utah Area GPA chapter has annual dues in the amount of $25. Dues can be paid for at the time of becoming a member with national.
